The IIMs with the highest fees are the older (legacy) ones: IIM Ahmedabad is the most expensive (₹27.50 lakh), while the fees for IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta fall in the ₹25 to 27 lakh range.

So far, 21 out of the 22 IIMs have released official fee documents, which have been verified by CareerMantra.Org team. IIM fees in India for the 2026-28 batch can be categorised into three tiers. Fees for the newer IIMs range from ₹17.90 lakh to ₹21 lakh. Established second- and third-generation IIMs have fees ranging from ₹21 lakh to ₹24 lakh. Older IIMs, such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, and Mumbai, fall into the bracket of ₹25 lakh and above.

Key details regarding the fees table: The course fee at IIM Indore is ₹24,00,000 (₹12,00,000 per academic year); including a refundable caution deposit of ₹50,000 and a mess deposit of ₹54,000, the total amount comes to ₹25,15,800. The fee of ₹17,90,000 at IIM Rohtak does not include charges for the mess, placement facilities, and development, nor does it cover alumni membership and caution money.
