CUET 2026

CUET 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates preparing for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026. The exam is scheduled to be held in May. Once the application forms are available, candidates will be able to submit their applications through the official website cuet.nta.nic.in.

The NTA notice informs candidates that information regarding the programs and courses offered by Central Universities (CUs) and other participating institutions is available on the CUET (UG) portal as well as on the respective university websites. Candidates can access and download the CUET UG 2026 syllabus from the official website.

The CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for admission to undergraduate programs in 47 central universities and over 300 colleges across the country.

Furthermore, the agency has announced that candidates will be allowed to correct their details during the CUET UG 2026 online application process in case of any mismatch in names on their Aadhaar card and Class 10 mark sheet.

Earlier, the NTA had advised candidates to update their Aadhaar, UDID card, and category certificates before the application window opened to avoid discrepancies later. For the CUET UG 2026 application, the NTA will obtain the candidate's date of birth, gender, and address, along with other necessary details, from the UDID certificate through Aadhaar authentication.

However, since Aadhaar does not contain the names of parents or guardians, candidates will have to enter these details separately in the application form as mentioned in the NTA notice.

CUET UG 2025

CUET UG 2025 was conducted over 19 days between May 13 and June 4 in a total of 35 shifts. Instead of announcing toppers, the NTA, for the first time, released a list of application numbers that obtained the highest aggregate NTA scores in five subjects. This year, the top five overall NTA scores across five subjects are 1225.93, followed by 1210.10, 1205.17, 1203.40, and 1200.12.

According to the data shared by NTA, only one candidate scored in the 100th percentile in four out of the five chosen subjects. A total of 17 candidates scored 100 percentile in three of their chosen subjects. The number of students who scored 100 percentile in two and one subject are 150 and 2,679, respectively.
