National Institute of Bank Management

National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), Pune, was established in 1969 by the Reserve Bank of India as an autonomous apex institute for research, training, and consultancy in banking and finance. NIBM is also recognized as a 'Scientific and Industrial Research Organization' by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. NIBM is also engaged in research (policy and operations), training, and education of senior officials of banks.

The institute offers 2 courses, which are Diploma and Certificate, in full-time mode. Students have the option to choose courses like Certificate, MBA/PGDM with Banking, Finance, and Insurance, and Business and Management study streams. The institute provides an opportunity to gain professional-level expertise in the field of finance through its trained and experienced faculty.

The courses offered by the institute are well recognized and accepted by the approval bodies like AICTE. In total, there are 180 courses available for students most interested in higher education. Admission to NIBM is based on merit in the entrance examinations of CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/GRE, followed by the Writing Aptitude Test/Oral Communication Test and Interview. NIBM is the first institute in India to offer a two-year specialization program in Banking and Finance.
