IIT Delhi MBA

IIT Delhi established the Department of Management Studies to provide management education to students. IIT Delhi MBA was ranked 4th among the top management institutes in India by NIRF 2025. The Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, offers MBA, Executive MBA, PhD, MDP, and various other courses to students. These courses are offered in management and various other streams.

According to a recent study carried out by Stanford University on Indian universities, DMS secured the second position in the business and management category. IIT Delhi's MBA program is recognised as a B-school certified by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

IIT Delhi MBA Highlights:

The MBA Department was established in 1993 by amending the IIT Delhi Act. It currently runs three MBA programmes:

+ A two-year full-time MBA programme focusing on Management Systems.

+ A two-year full-time MBA programme focusing on Telecom Systems Management under the aegis of Bharti School of Telecom Technology and Management.

+ A three-year on-campus evening MBA programme focusing on Technology Management. Candidates possessing the following qualifications are eligible to apply for admission to the MBA programme.

IIT Delhi MBA Eligibility:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification awarded by a University established under an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or by other educational institutions created by an Act of Parliament or recognised as a University, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

+ The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must include a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary school education (10+2) or equivalent.

+ Minimum 60% marks (in all years/semesters) in aggregate in the qualifying degree or 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale or equivalent.

+ 5% relaxation in marks (i.e., minimum 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e., minimum 5.50 on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities candidates.

+ Candidates who are in the final year of an undergraduate programme or equivalent qualifying examination, as well as candidates who have completed their degree requirements and are awaiting their results, are also eligible to apply.

+ If selected, such candidates will be allowed to provisionally join the program, only if he/she submit the certificates by the due date.

IIT Delhi MBA Placements 2024:

IIT Delhi's MBA program consistently achieves strong placements, with the latest reports indicating a 100% placement rate for the 2023-2025 batch during the summer placements. In 2024, the highest salary package offered was INR 35 LPA, and the average package stood at INR 23.04 LPA. The program also boasts a strong presence of top recruiters, particularly in the strategy and consulting sector.

Applicants for MBA programmes at IIT Delhi who qualify through CAT 2025 will be selected for shortlisting and subsequently invited for an interview, which will take place at IIT Delhi.
