Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), formerly known
as Manipal University, is a prestigious private deemed-to-be university
established in 1953 in Manipal, Karnataka. Recognized as an Institution of
Eminence by the Government of India, MAHE offers a diverse range of programs
across various disciplines.
The university is accredited A++ by NAAC and offers more than 300 programmes to students. Further, MAHE has off-campus locations in Mangaluru, Bengaluru, and Jamshedpur, as well as an offshore campus in Dubai (UAE). Manipal University Karnataka is ranked 3rd and 59th under the 'Universities' and 'Engineering' categories by the NIRF 2025. The University is home to over 35,000 students and has over 9,000 supporting services.
