BITS Pilani was established in 1964, and it is a higher education and research university. BITS Pilani Admission Process:

BITS Pilani conducts an entrance exam called the BITSAT for admission to its undergraduate courses. The BITSAT 2026 is a computer-based test that is conducted in two sessions, BITSAT Session-1 and BITSAT Session-2, separated by a gap of a few weeks. A merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the BITSAT and the Class 12 or equivalent examination. Applicants who are on the merit list will be admitted to BITS Pilani.

The institute also has 9 different centres for Software Development, Robotics, Women's Studies and Desert Development Technologies. BITSAT (BITS Entrance Test), an all-India computerised entrance test, is administered by BITS.
