IIT Jammu

The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) is a public research university established in 2016. It was set up through the agreement between the Department of Higher Education and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The public university is situated in Jagti, in the Jammu district, Jammu and Kashmir. The Flagship courses here are B.Tech and M.Tech. The institute is declared as an ‘Institute of National Importance’.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu offers a variety of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs. The institute has also recently launched a four-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Behavioural Sciences and Predictive Analytics.

Students can also pursue several minor degrees in fields such as nuclear engineering, quantum technology, economics, and entrepreneurship.

Admissions to undergraduate programs are conducted through the Entrance Exam JEE Mains. Admissions to postgraduate programs are made through GATE scores.
