The National Institute of Technology, Goa, was founded in 2010. It is one of the 31 NITs under the NIT Act 2007. The institute is situated at Cuncolim, Madgoan, southern side of Panaji. The NIT Goa has been recognised as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. Currently, the NIT Campus is temporarily functioning in the Goa Engineering College, which is situated at Farmagudi, Goa.

NIT Goa Popular Courses and Fees:
The premier government institution offers B.Tech programs in various streams – Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa is completely entrance-based for all programs (B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD). The specific process varies by course and is followed by a centralised counselling process. The admissions in undergraduate programs are entrance exam-based – JEE Mains, JEE Advanced. The admissions in M.Tech programs are entrance exam-based – GATE.
