The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani, is popularly known as IIIT Kalyani, situated in the state of West Bengal. The university is set up by the Government of India (Ministry of Education), the Government of West Bengal and the Industry partners. The industry partners are, namely, West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation (WEBEL), Coal India Ltd. and Rolta Foundation. The IIIT Kalyani is using the not-for-profit PPP (Public-Private Partnership) mode.
This prestigious university was established in 2014 and is spread over 50 acres. The institute was declared an ‘Institute of National Importance’ under the Act of Parliament in March 2017.

IIIT Courses And Fees:
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kalyani offers undergraduate courses B.Tech, postgraduate courses M.Tech, and doctoral courses PhD programmes focused on information technology and allied areas.

Admission Process:
For admission to B.Tech programs, students must pass the JEE Mains (Joint Entrance Examination) followed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. For admission to M.Tech programs, students must pass the IIIT Kalyani entrance exam. For PhD programs, students must pass the entrance exam, followed by a personal interview. Entrance exams are held twice a year, in January and July.
